After expanding the protective netting at Miller Park in 2015, the Milwaukee Brewers will be adding more netting in time for the 2018 Major League Baseball season. The move comes after several other MLB teams have announced they will be taking similar measures. The netting is expected to extend to the beginning of the dugouts near first and third base areas of Miller Park.

Many Milwaukee Brewers fans will likely object to the netting in fear that it could hinder their view of the field. Baseball fans that sit behind home plate sure never seem to mind. However, many minds were changed several weeks ago when a young girl was struck by a foul ball at Yankee Stadium. Other teams that will be adding protective netting include the New York Mets, New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners.
