You don't have to worry about any obstructions in this section. The view is very wide open. The infield is far away and you don't have the best view of the Wrigleyville rooftops and surrounding area but section 242 sure beats sitting behind any pole or column.
I would also avoid the first row at all costs, since other Cubs fans will constantly be walking in front of you throughout the entire game.
