Wonderful seats! Sat here for a Reds-Pirates game earlier this season. Wish I could have had these seats for the Home Run Derby a few weeks ago. Only complaint is the knee room, which is minimal if you're taller but overall I would love to sit here again.

142 is a hot spot for home run balls - this is a hitter's ballpark.
The Moon Deck is one of the more popular areas of the ballpark if not the most popular because it offers a close wide open view of the outfield at an affordable rate. The fans are great out there.

Just a heads up, the leg room is minimal at every seat in the moon deck. I'm 6'1 and my knees were pressed up against the row in front of me the entire game. Not cool. The ushers are Nazis out there too. Don't try buying cheap tickets and sneaking into these seats, it won't work. The other downside is that the concessions outside of the moon deck area only offer the typical Stadium fare. If you want skyline chili or ice cream (UDF) you'll have to do some traveling which means time missed watching the game.

I really think there is more the organization could do to liven up the river bank area to make it more appealing to fans looking at the river. Maybe more landscaping or additional statues of Big Red Machine members or maybe a statue of Marty Brennamen. I know Major League Baseball wouldn't allow it but I would like to see more tribute to Pete Rose at Great American. What a player!

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 142, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Reds/Chicago Cubs game at Great American Ballpark.
