Was lucky enough to score seats in row 1 of section 417. Was a great experience, had only previously been to three or four Astros games at Minute Maid Park. Yes, there is a retractable roof on top, but one thing I really like is the hill in the deepest part of center field. Many people like the train as their favorite feature in the park but no matter what, I could see it all so well from my seats.
Also liked that the railing in front of the front row was small and didn't intrude on our view.
There is only one downside I saw here aside from being the furthest seats from the field and that was the constant movement of fans in front of row 1. There was always someone coming and going between the Terrace seats and the View Deck seats. A lot of fans should learn baseball etiquette by waiting until a batter has been outed before leaving their seat. The narrow aisles was also a nuisance but you won't notice that too much if you're sitting in the first few rows.

If you're thinking about sitting in 417, I would say pull the trigger and do it. If you hate these seats, you will most likely be able to move down to better seats during the game.
