We were directly above the Astros dugout but we couldn't see it because of the railing between the view deck and the terrace. Not that it would have mattered.
Also realized that the track circling the field puts fans much further from the action than in other parks; regardless of what the ticket office tells you. Ever been to Wrigley Field and Fenway Park? Now those seats sit close to the field!

These are good seats though. I would just sit in the first ten rows and come to the game with an open mind. You're not going to be able to interact with the players or hear some of the chatter down on the field. You get what you pay for and this is where I like to sit to see a large amount of Astros games for not a lot of money. These games still turn out to be expensive.

Minute Maid Park had a very nostalgic feel and there were a lot of monuments here that you just don't see in any other MLB ballpark. First of all, the train filled with oranges pays tribute to the old Union Station and moves whenever a home run is hit. The Crawford Boxes in left field used to be at the old Astrodome if I'm not mistaken. Tal's Hill in center field is similar to the old Crosley Field in Cincinnati, the original home of the Reds. Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell also have statues on the park's grounds outside. The only thing that's missing is a winning team.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 424, here is a Youtube video shot from there during an Astros/Texas Rangers game at Minute Maid Park.
