Went to a Royals-Blue Jays game last April at the beginning of the season. These are wonderful seats to have near the Royals dugout. The dugout boxes have quiet a few steps to climb but getting to our seats was an easy task. The dugout suites sit down in front of these and are the closest seats to the field.

Kauffman, also know as "The K" stands out as one of the top family ballparks in the MLB. I can't think of another ballpark that I could compare it to. The outfield concourse and all that there is to do for kids is better than any ballpark I've seen but you need tokens to access the activities. Each token is $2. The fans are fun but not loud and not overbearing. The park is really clean but I wish there was more of a surrounding neighborhood.

There aren't a ton of hotels in the surrounding area but the Drury Inn and 4 Points are quality. There is no light rail to the stadium like there is to Busch Stadium so you need to do some planning if visiting from out of town. Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Chiefs is adjacent to Kauffman making the site one huge concrete jungle.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 137, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Royals game at Kauffman Stadium.
