Section 112 is a good look. It's behind the Mets dugout which provided us with many great opportunities to take photos of our favorite players. A lot of the luster of the Mets roster went bye-bye post 2006 though. Now we have a bunch of good "prospects" like Murphy and Duda but the games are still fun.
The seats past row 20 are typically the most affordable. We were in row 26 and had no trouble reading the field and making out faces of the players. The only thing I don't like about the Metro Boxes is how small the aisles are leading down to the section. But once you get to your row, you'll have plenty of room to stretch out and relax!
Another tip: Skip the "Shake Shack" Line in center field. There is a burger stand just outside of this section called 'Brooklyn Burger' and they have some of the best available burger options in the ballpark. Expensive but you won't be disappointed with the BBQ Bacon Burger.

The rowdy atmosphere of the old Shea Stadium still hasn't carried over to Citi Field and I think the same can be said for New Yankee Stadium. Not sure why that is but I don't think either fan base was ready for a new stadium.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 112, here is a Youtube video shot from row 15 during a Mets game at Citi Field.
