These were wonderful seats in the Jim Beam Suites. You can get almost the same view from the Grandstand seats behind home plate and pay fractions of the ticket price.
318 isn't quiet behind the catcher but it's behind home plate, towards the Yankees dugout on the first base side.
Could still read the numbers on the back of each player's jersey and the scoreboard makes it easy for fans in the building to keep up with who is where.
Free food or a buffet would be a nice little amenity for Yankees fans sitting in the Jim Beam Suites but unfortunately, they haven't added that. The seats are nice and padded though and it's a great place to sit to avoid sitting amongst the masses of Yankees fans on the main and grandstand levels.

There is so much I like about coming to Yankees games. Whether it's a milk shake from Johnny Rocket's, the Yankees museum near Gate 6, monument park in center field or the 4 Train that stops just outside of the ballpark...Yankee Stadium has something for everyone. The exterior looks like a cathedral and it's only fitting; the Yankees players are Gods to us New Yorkers.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 318, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Yankees game at Yankee Stadium.
