144 sees a lot of home run balls from right handed hitters, so bring your glove. I've sat in the outfield for the bulk of the Phillies games I've been to and have never been disappointed. There is not a bad seat in the place. We actually went walking all around the concourse to see what the game looked like from various angles, and none were poor except for those behind the foul poles in left and right fields. You can see the field from anywhere in the concourse which is wide but still sees traffic jams.
The Liberty bell that lights up for home runs was a nice throwback and tribute to the past. All of the food was reasonably priced for a ballpark. Beers were roughly $8 for regular size.
Tickets will generally run you about $30-$40 for section 144 which is fair but still not cheap.

You will hate not having a scoreboard to look at during the game since it sits above these seats but to me, that was the only downside.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 144, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park.
