Very rarely will you see any fans sitting in this section or at least never filling it up. But we sat here for a sold out Cincinnati Reds game and the view of downtown when you look to your right from these seats is second to none. The view of the field is only average but still good enough for you to be able to stay into the game.
The view of the river is excellent too. PNC Park has the best setting for baseball than any other venue I've been to since becoming a fan.
The statues of Wagner, Stargell and Clemente are great, as are the statues of Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson. Not a ton of history here yet but the Pirates are working on it.

If you want to take the escalator to the upper level rather than walking the ramps, the only escalator that I know of is on the third base side near Pop's Plaza. From there, you have a pretty far walk to section 301 but at least it's a scenic one. The food is great at PNC too. I recommend Manny's BBQ or Primanti Brothers, just ask a member of the stadium staff where to find those locations and they'll point you in the right direction.
