302 didn't let me down. Saw the Rays take on the Seattle Mariners here last April. I don't recall which row we were seated in but we were 7 or 8 rows up, real close to the entrance tunnel to our section. (Take the escalators near Gates 3 or 5 to get here). Could see all of the pop ups really well and there are only two levels of seats so the upper deck still feels kind of close to the field; I've seen worse. Ever see a Marlins game when they played at Dolphins Stadium? Watching baseball here is cool because you never have to worry about the elements and when it is a scorcher outside, the air conditioning feels amazing when you walk thru the front entrance. (There are 7 entrances total I think).
You still have access to the lower level if you sit in the 300s so you can still check out the Rays tank where the stingrays are, you just have to wait in a line. Enjoy these seats!
To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 302, here is a Youtube video shot from row K, seat 9 during a Rays game at Tropicana Field.
