Row 1 is the most ideal row for section 247; you can see every nook and cranny of the field from those seats. Anything past that is extremely iffy. I would especially try to stay out of any row past row 15 which serves as the middle portion of the home run porch. As long as you are happy with where your seats are located, the home run porch will put you in plenty of comfort, in the shade all day and free food and the Rangers down on the field. Life couldn't be better.

Per the Texas Rangers website, section 247 is part of the All You Can Eat Seats on the right field home run porch. Each ticket includes unlimited grilled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn, and soft drinks, served in the grill behind the Home Run Porch. You can beginning eating when the ballpark gates open and service ends two hours after the game begins. Individual game tickets are $51 and $58 for designated Premier Games, and discounts are available for groups of 20 or more fans.
Beware, the pillars/poles supporting the home run porch will block your view of the field from some seats so you should be very careful with your seat selection on the home run porch.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 247, here is a Youtube video shot from row 24 during a Rangers game at Rangers Ballpark.
