To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 318, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Clippers/New Orleans Pelicans game at the Staples Center.

Sitting in section 318 will put you way up into space but it's the best possible view for basketball and LA Kings games. I was a season ticket holder for that section for two Clippers seasons but didn't renew my seats because the organization always found a way to charge me extra money for various charges so I finally got too fed up.
Plus, I always had to factor in parking and transportation costs, food, alcohol, souveniers from the game, etc. It got costly and 40+ nights a year is a lot to commit to.

But the seats can be a little cramped depending on the size of the person. My knees did touch the back of the seats of the row in front of me but I made sure to stretch my legs at halftime by doing a lap around the upper level concourse to people watch. Each seat has a cup holder unlike the upper levels of some of the other NBA arenas I've ventured into. Much needed to hold that $9 domestic beer.

You should definitely try the 'Skyscraper Dog' from Staples' Staples, a concession stand outside of this section. As much money as the Staples Center brings in annually, the quality of food is a no brainer. It's good.
