To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 146, here is a Youtube video shot from there during an Avalanche/Calgary Flames game at the Pepsi Center.
My husband and I are huge hockey fans and have been to more Avalanche games then we can count. We sat in 146, row 11 most recently for a Avalanche-Pittsburgh Penguins game. The sections itself is located exactly between the blue line and the faceoff circles in the Avalanche attack area.
When the puck is on the opposite side of the ice, there will be some adjusting your body to see the puck. If you don't like doing that, I would suggest sitting closer to the center line and not so close to the faceoff circles. I wish I could say that there isn't a bad seat in this arena but we all know that it just isn't true.
