To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 340, here is a Youtube video shot from there an Avalanche/San Jose Sharks game at the Pepsi Center.

The night started off right with a few beers at Brooklyn's which is downtown and just down from the Pepsi Center. If you're looking for a pre-game party, start there.

I was a little bummed that I had only purchased upper level seats for the night but it turned out to be a great choice. Only one section separates you from the center line if you plan on sitting 340. The game I went to was this past April against the Blue Jackets who crushed the Avalanche in what was one of the final home games of the season. Terrible night but the view was excellent. Would definitely sit here again.
