Came to Columbus to see the Red Wings take on the Blue Jackets. The team makes the trip numerous times each season, so I decided to finally see what Nationwide Arena and Columbus was all about. Beautiful and clean city, beautiful and clean arena. The coolest part of the experience was seeing the giant arch down the street.

220 is far from the best seats in the arena. By the time you pay for lodging and gas though, you often just want a cheap seat in the arena. You're still watching the same game, no matter what. The seats are comfortable, plenty of leg and elbow space and cup holders at every seat. There aren't that many sections and there was plenty of signage in the concourse so finding my seat was rather simple.

The Arena District outside of Nationwide is excellent. It has plenty of shopping and restaurants. Bucca Di Beppo and Boston's Pizza are probably the two places I would recommend the most.

To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 220, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Blue Jackets game at Nationwide Arena.
