I miss the old North Stars, hated it when they left but this place blows the old Met Center in Bloomington out of the water. Can't even compare. Downtown St. Paul was the best possible location since everything else is in congested downtown Minneapolis. The Wild and the traffic they constantly attract have done a lot to revive downtown St. Paul.
Sat in this section on December 29th of last year when the Wild hosted the Edmonton Oilers. The game was the usual; loud and crazy. I love the fog machine when the team scores and their goal horn music is some of the best in the league.
Sitting on the upper level of Xcel is like sitting on the club level of other NHL arenas. You could ask 9/10 Wild fans that have sat in section 230 and they will tell you they enjoyed the seats and that it was a great view.
