To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 227, here is a Youtube video shot from row 4 before a Sharks vs. Vancouver Canucks playoff game.

You could easily call section 227 one of the worst sections in the arena due to it being in the upper corner and the insane amount of seats there are per row. I was very happy with my selection of seats; row 7. The sight lines are great from essentially any seat in this arena.

There are cup holders attached to the back of the seats in front of you. There is a little bit of railing in the surrounding areas of the upper levels but none of it really obstructs your view of the ice.

Row 1 in section 227 would be phenomenal seats, especially since you could lean over the divider with no other fans in front of you.
The only negative are that the seats which are pretty tight and there's no leg room so it can be very uncomfortable after the first period or so. I do like that they have arena security outside so you feel safe especially at night.
