I am a transplanted hockey fan from Philly living in D.c. I love my Flyers and saw them at the Verizon Center two seasons ago when they took on the Capitals. 120, row J, was great because it is near the corner of the ice looking directly at the net the visitor's attack twice on.

If you're a fan of the visiting team, be warned - Capitals fans are sore losers. I've seen fights break out, people get shoved into the walls, and police forced to take action.

I've also attended games with rivals and with teams who mean nothing to the Caps - it doesn't matter, Caps fans are unforgiving and rowdy although there are exceptions. If you're coming in to cheer for the visitor's, have some thick skin and be prepared for the worst. I've had beer thrown on me, some of the worst insults/slurs yelled at me. I've even been slapped in the back of the head. I've visited other arenas where my team is visiting and I've never had this kind of treatment. Beware.
